about me
Designer who builds systems that look as good as they scale.
Hi, I'm Maciej. I've spent 15 years in product design — started as a freelance designer running a one-person studio, working with clients like Samsung, ECCO, and TVN, and on an extended on-site role at Deutsche Telekom in Germany that earned a German Design Award (2016) and an iF Design Award (2017). Most of that work was visual at its core: typography, color, hierarchy, the small decisions that make a product feel finished.
Around 2017 I joined Netguru and spent the next several years moving through Regular, Senior, and Lead Designer — leading a team of designers, much of it on UBS mobile banking and other enterprise products. During that period I also led brand work for the Netguru design team on Behance and Dribbble — including designing a case study that earned Netguru their first Best of Behance recognition. That's where I started moving from individual screens toward systems.
What I bring to design systems is the eye that came before the architecture. Component libraries are easy to govern badly — clean diagrams, tidy documentation, ugly products. I care about how the system looks and feels in use, not just whether it passes a checklist.
Outside work I take photos and play guitar. I build scale models and love cinema. Different surfaces for the same kind of attention.
Currently Design System Lead at Phenom (~1700 people, B2B HR Tech). Based in Rzeszów, Poland. Open to Senior+ Designer roles — including Lead, Staff, and Principal.
